Galerie MINGEI
Directed by Philippe Boudin and his daughter Zoé Niang, the Mingei Gallery specializes in the ancient and contemporary arts of Japan, in particular the little-known art of Japanese bamboo basketry, of which it is a bit of an ambassador in Europe. She regularly collaborates with museums by participating in the production or curation of their exhibitions. It also regularly organizes thematic or monographic exhibitions devoted to artists.
In 2021, the Gallery launched its first prize, the MINGEI BAMBOO PRIZE, in collaboration with the National Museum of Asian Arts – Guimet.
